OUR MISSION

Sistersí Alumni of the South Pacific (SASP) is an all volunteer non-profit organization comprised of women who traversed from American Samoa, Germany  and Samoa. Our primary goal is to encourage educational opportunities among all men and women of Pacific Islander heritage residing in the United States and throughout the Pacific region. To reach that goal, Sistersí Alumni of the South Pacific award funds annually received from fundraisers during a given year by way of scholarships to students who apply and meet the criteria.

Through effective fundraisers such as golf tournaments, family nights, casino busses and the annual Sistersí Alumni Banquet, SASP continues to contribute directly to the community by assisting our Pacific island students. However, this would not be possible without the continued support of our valued sponsors, our many local supporters and our families and friends who are acknowledged and honored at the Scholarship/Anniversary celebration each year.

Since SASPís inception, over $500,000 has been awarded to eligible recipients with scholarships of up to $1,500.00. The goal for this year is $20,000 and with your support at our fundraisers, SASP will be able to meet this goal.

SASP is a leading advocate for higher education among pacific islander students, and its success is largely due to its membersí dedication and volunteer service. The Sisters also work in all fields to encourage good relations and fellowship with an ever-increasing strength, leadership and respect in the community.

All women are welcome to join. We are open to all who are willing to work, have fun, are open-minded, and believe in strengthening communities. Supporting our students and their struggles through higher education and, at the same time, encouraging them to excel in all that they do is all we, as parents, can ask of our students.

Membership dues are $20.00 initiation fee and $10.00 yearly payable at the end of July.

Monthly meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month at the Alpine Village, Torrance, CA.

We welcome you to join us and experience for yourself positive energy and dedication these vibrant ladies offer to the community.
